THE LONG VEST

My husband had a ball teasing me about this vest.  He said I can double as a barista for Starbucks during lunch time since my vest looks like a part of the famous brand's iconic logo.  Amidst his relentless teasing, I stood firm on wearing it. :)  Well because I like the freshness of it.  It reminds me of the season that I have a penchant for; yeah, summer that is!

A long vest is actually a versatile pieces because one  can wear it with different clothes and it will still look good.  It can transform into a more business like feel when paired with classic pants or a jumpsuit like in this featured ensemble or it can evoke a resort-like feeling when paired with maxis and frilly dresses.

WHAT I WORE:
long vest from H&M
jumpsuit from H&M
faye bag from CHLOE
babouche from CELINE
eyewear from MIU MIU
choker from ALYSSA
bracelet from VAN CLEEF & ARPELS
earrings from my mom

THE BIRTHDAY JUMPSUIT

I certainly didn't think that at 36, I can still wear something like this.  The thing is, I wouldn't even have considered it when I was a lot younger primarily because I wouldn't have the guts to wear something as back revealing as this.  Heck, I did not even wear a two-piece swimsuit until I was married and had a child.  I guess, this confidence I have in me now comes with a more mature age and ripened by experience.  I can say that I am more confident in my own skin now; I may not be the ultra svelte woman but I know what works for me and what doesn't.  I am aware of what clothes can flatter me and what cannot compliment me.  It is a byproduct of mismatched things along the way but I learned from them; just likes the hurdles I encountered in life, it chiseled and sharpened me to a more courageous woman I am now.  So don't be afraid of getting older, because with age comes wisdom and with that comes a fiercer; a bolder and better you.

WHAT I WORE:
Jumpsuit from SOFIA
heels from an online shop
faye bag from CHLOE

DENIM AND JUMPSUIT

This oversized jumpsuit is such a comfortable and edgy piece to wear.  I have a tendency to go for unconventional cuts like this.  I like the idea that its shape is something unique yet the colour is not loud at all thereby balancing the look.  I paired it with the ever so traditional denim jacket to tone it down a bit for work.  My husband jokingly referred to it as a clown suit which I may say is partly correct because of the big size of the bottom part.  I think I can actually fit a dog or maybe another human in it because of its gargantuan width.  However, I think that is what makes this piece stand-out.  You just have to match it with appropriate stuffs to make it work with you not against you.  What is even more important is the confidence you wear whenever you don an edgy ensemble; you have to stand tall on your decision.  If you believe in what you are wearing then it will definitely make the look a thousand times better.

WHAT I WORE:
denim jacket from ROBERTO CAVALLI
jumpsuit from LUXESHOP
babouche flats from CELINE
drew mini bag from CHLOE
bracelets from OPIA
rings from GINA TRICOT
choker necklace from MLX
eyewear from MINISO
watch from LOCMAN

JUMPSUIT AND GOLD

If only it is easy to wear a jumpsuit to work, I will gladly wear it everyday.  However, the reality is, it isn't especially if I have to wear it for more than  8 hours straight (yeah, I work long hours especially if I have an upcoming deadline).  I can live with wearing it once in a while though; I just have to strategise more on my trips to the loo :-)

I love the sophisticated feel of this jumpsuit.  If I won't be wearing it to work, then maybe I will lose the inner black top and have a plunging neckline instead for a more edgy and sexier vibe.  But since it is for work, I don't want to worry about my neckline while I am drawing or doing work stuffs.  I used a polished gold belt for some accent since it is an all black ensemble.

WHAT I WORE:
black jumpsuit from H&M
belt from LUXESHOP
bag from NINE WEST
shoes from H&M
minimal baroque eyewear from PRADA
choker from MLX
watch from LOCMAN

BROWN STRIPES

This is the kind of day when I just pull the first things that I see inside my closet.  I had a splitting headache and I had to get up and go to the church with my family.  I took my stripes jumpsuit out.  I prefer wearing my jumpsuits on weekends primarily because if I wear it to work, it means I had to wear it the whole day.  Wearing it whole day means going to the loo will be quite a pain in the ass because of too much fuss on getting it off.  I prefer practicality and comfort during workdays.  So for this look, my bold stripe jumpsuit is the focal and the rest is of the same monochromatic hues; from nudes to brown including my boots.

WHAT I WORE:
brown long cardigan from H&M
nude turtleneck from THE LIMITED
black and white jumpsuit from the MANGOHOUSE
brown tote from ZARA
camel suede ankle boots from a CHINESE online shop
eyewear from MARC JACOBS

PED XING

Doesn't this jumpsuit look familiar?  It seems like something you can see down the road, doesn't it? The first time I saw this, it reminded me of a pedestrian crossing, you know those zebra lines you usually see at intersections, or perhaps a mental asylum uniform.  When I happened to stumble upon this pattern all over the magazines during the start of spring (H&M actually devoted a section of their lookbook for this pattern), I thought how on earth can I make it work with my style? And I got busy devising ways to incorporate it into my wardrobe 101.  Ergo, I accepted the challenge and bought this jumpsuit .  If you are wondering how was I able to get away with it? simple, I used a solid classic cut vest as an anchor for this trendy print.

WHAT I WORE:
JUMPSUT from Mango house
VEST Korean Brand
CLUTCH from Grade Tide Bag Shop
EARRINGS gift from a friend
SHOES Zara

I wore this style for a birthday dinner treat of a friend.  I don't mind wearing a jumpsuit for a short period of time.  However, it is a big NO for me if it's a day-long event.  I just don't find it comfortable especially when I have to go to the loo.
I streamed down my accessories to a pair of statement feathery earrings.  I got this as a birthday gift from another friend of mine. I figured that since the prints that I wore looks loud, I might as well tone the other things down so there, no necklace at all and neutral blush and gloss only.
