KTPH SINGAPORE

one of the many  connecting bridges

This is a baby of mine that I have started from competition and then went through to construction. This was the first time that I had designed a hospital landscape and it was a high profile one.  There were lots of coordination meetings, press conferences, presentations and liaison with different consulting teams.  Indeed, it was a product of blood, sweat and tears.  I had spent countless sleepless nights because of design concepts and revisions, rushed deadlines as well as a demanding work  and coordination schedule.  I was not just the designer but I was doing project manager and director duties.  But all the efforts are worth it because this project won several awards.  The client wanted a rainforest in the middle of the hospital ,(the concept is a hospital within a garden, not a garden within a hospital) and that is what he got. I can see the forest now, about 4 years after its completion. This was also my first time to use gfrc timber for fire engine access(E.V.A) and I fell in love with the beauty of this material.too bad I haven't found it here in China.  Pictures are from the web.

Elan Hills

This is a show flat right here in Guangzhou which I have designed the landscape.  I call this the Versace show flat primarily because the interior reminds me so much of the late designer's designs for  home stuffs.
I was told to create a luxurious space within a very tight space and budget.  As with most residential projects out here, designers are usually instructed to make everything appear opulent with minimal budget.  Yes, we do magic. :)

the water feature with a Venetian touch

entry ( the original design have steps in front. It used to have a 1.5m elevation difference but sometime during construction, they have changed the road's level.) it would have had a more dramatic feeling if the grade change is still there.

the water cascade isn't turned on.  Water flows from the sculpture base down to the gravel area.

the living room

I love this yellow chair.  It gave the otherwise formal room some pizzaz.

This lounge and the bag on top of it are goals.

SHANGRILA HOTEL OCEAN WING RASA RIA (MY DESIGN)

The first Shangri-la Hotel that I designed and handled from concept to construction.  It is the Ocean Wing area of the hotel and designed primarily for exclusivity  and privacy.  It was a very fast phased project.
I have been surfing the net for some reviews regarding this design baby of mine and I must say that I am pleased with what I have found and one proud momma here. Thanks to Dannil who gave me the free reign in the design and concept of everything (eventhough we jokingly refer to the pool as the Mickey mouse pool when I have first drawn it),to Peridian's mr taylor for giving me the project,my team who helped me package the concept and construction drawings.Pictures are from the web.
