SKIRTING THE ISSUE

Slim cut skirts always give off that certain office vibe; make it a high-waisted one then it becomes more cosmopolitan chic.  I have been waiting for a less cold weather to wear this skirt again and finally, today is the right day.  It was raining this morning though but nevertheless, it has been warm enough to wear it sans winter tights.  I have 2 meetings today which explain the more office looking get-up.  I paired the clothes with boots to add a more youthful and edgy look.
WHAT I WORE:
black turtleneck from SASHA TENOR
lilac vest  from TONG YU
high waist pencil cut skirt from FOREVER 21
boots from ABUSIVA
bag from NINE WEST

DENIMS AND PRINTS

I am not really a denim jeans person.  I only own a few pairs which is already an upgrade for having just a pair for years.  I remember trying to do a denim series for a week and I was hanging by a thread; literally ransacking my closet for denims that can get me through 7 days.  Lately, I am getting the hang of it though, especially during thunderstorms like today when I want to feel comfortable while on my way to the office.  You can use denim for work; just pair it with a structured outerwear on top for a smarter  look.  In my case, I paired it with an animal print tank top that I knotted on the side because it is quite big on me.  A basic blue blazer is used to make the look a little more office ready in spite of the casualness of the inner clothes.

WHAT I WORE:
blue blazer from JEYKAY
tank top from H&M
jeans from BENCH
sneakers from ISABEL MARANT
pandora bag from GIVENCHY

SNEAKERS MONDAY

I dread Mondays mainly because it means weekend is over. But to have a rainy Monday or more so a thunderstorm on a Monday is even far more grueling.  I opted to wear a pair of sneakers for comfort and ease of movement today. However, I cannot really go for that super rugged look mainly because I have to inyerview another applicant today and I have an office resourcing meeting.  So, i took my harlem jodhpurs jumpsuit and put a cozy turtleneck on it as well as folded the bottom edges for a more casual look.  I put a formal men's vest on it to give it more of a "smasual" vibe.  The pair of sneakers is actually my hisband's own; yup, the joy of having the same shoe size is that I can wear his sneakers.  I don't own a lot of rugged shoes because I just wear his.

WHAT I WORE:
vest from NACRE
turtleneck from Guangzhou Night Market
harlem jumpsuit jodhpurs from H&M
sneakers from H&M
disco soho bag from Gucci

ECLECTIC

My style is usually a smorgasboard  of various taste.  It is a mix of stuffs, brands thrift items and mostly mood or event dependent.  On weekends when I don't have to go to work, my eclectic and experimental taste usually surfaces as shown on this ensemble.  A mix and match of prints, I made the clashing prints work by staying on one colour scheme and having the colour pop on my scarf.  The skirt is actually a summer dress which I brought again since Spring is already here! Yey! just a few more months and it will be my favourite season soon, summer.

WHAT I WORE:
tunic top from H&M
printed summer dress from COCO CABANA
scarf from H&M
boots from FOREVER 21 ONLINE SHOP
soho disco bag from GUCCI
3 piece bangles from H&M

PUERTO DEL SOL (BOLINAO,PHILIPPINES)

pool area
Mediterranean feeling

the beach

This place is a few hours drive further north from my husband's hometown.  We went here for a day trip a few years back.  It was a good experience because we went during off peak season, I think that was February and we almost had the resort to ourselves.  There were only a few visitors during that time; one is even a celebrity singer who hailed from Pangasinan too.

The beach was magnificent.  Bolinao is famous for white sand beach and a coastline that stretches for miles.  The water was definitely calm when we went there, in fact, it was too calm because of the breakwater they have further out the sea.  It was a long stretch of knee deep water; something good for the kids.

The pool is enormous and combined with a children's pool at the further end. There is a jacuzzi hut in the middle but too bad because it was under repair when we were there.  Comfortable lounges were scattered around the area and the staff were very attentive to us.  Wifi  is only available at the restaurant section which was fine by me then because I actually went there to relax and enjoy the waters.
