SAN DIEGO STRIDING IN STYLE

I have put a little more thought in this outfit more than my usual days of everyday ensemble preparation.  I needed to wear something comfortable and casual for my park dalliance as well as get me through my office visit.  Definitely, it had to be smart casual.  Wearing the jumpsuit alone felt like too much of an office attire for me; something that won't really fit into a park setting.  I threw in the long green vest to downplay the corporate style a bit more.  A bit of square heels and off to the park I went.

WHAT I WORE:
black jumpsuit from H&M
polished gold belt from LUXESHOP
square heeled boots from H&M
long printed green vest from H&M
tote bag from COACH
eyewear from MIUMIU

ON THE ROAD

Nice weather, breath taking views and an empty road!  What else can I ask for?  surely you will be tempted to have your shot taken too.  These pics were taken at La Cresta community at Murrieta vicinity during my little photowalk session.  Usually, I try to wear flats for photowalk sessions especially when I know it involves a lot of walking.  However, this was an exemption because I was mostly in a car and I just got off it whenever I needed to take a pic.

WHAT I WORE:
cold shoulder from ZARA
black vest from WALMART (I got it for 5 dollars.  It was on clearance sale.)
culottes pants from H&M
black buckled boots from H&M
eyewear from MIUMIU

THE LONG VEST

My husband had a ball teasing me about this vest.  He said I can double as a barista for Starbucks during lunch time since my vest looks like a part of the famous brand's iconic logo.  Amidst his relentless teasing, I stood firm on wearing it. :)  Well because I like the freshness of it.  It reminds me of the season that I have a penchant for; yeah, summer that is!

A long vest is actually a versatile pieces because one  can wear it with different clothes and it will still look good.  It can transform into a more business like feel when paired with classic pants or a jumpsuit like in this featured ensemble or it can evoke a resort-like feeling when paired with maxis and frilly dresses.

WHAT I WORE:
long vest from H&M
jumpsuit from H&M
faye bag from CHLOE
babouche from CELINE
eyewear from MIU MIU
choker from ALYSSA
bracelet from VAN CLEEF & ARPELS
earrings from my mom
watch from LOCMAN

THE CAPE

There are times when I just like to dress up more corporate regardless if I have a meeting or not.  I usually do this when I want to uplift my mood because what I wear for the day actually affects my mood most of the time.  I tend to make more effort in dressing up whenever I am tired or had an almost all nighter the night before.  This cape has been in my closet for almost a year now until I decided to wear it today.  i just couldn't find the right pants to go along with it until this pair came along; and I do think that the tailored cut of this pants fits the cape perfectly.  I had to wear heels though or else I will be sweeping the floors because it is a tad longer than it is supposed to be. (and I am too lazy to bring it to the tailor for cutting).

WHAT I WORE:
cape from ZARA
inner top from H&M (my kiddo's shirt)
pants from H&M
eyewear from MIU MIU
phantom bag from CELINE
necklace  from MARCUS (birthday gift before)
dangling earrings from GINA TRICOT
shoes from H&M
watch from LOCMAN
bangle from JACKY (birthday gift 2 years ago)

BLUER THAN BLUE

I told you I love colours.  This outfit embodies me and my "chill" mode.  I will usually wear this on a day out with friends or a family vacation.  I have always loved dresses especially maxis mainly because donning it usually ends up looking stylish without exerting so much effort.  The colourful cardigan is something I took from my mum's closet and brought back here in Guangzhou.

WHAT I WORE:
maxi dress from MANGO HOUSE
blue cardigan from my mum
wedge sandals from EXADIA ONLINE
tote bag from CELINE
eyewear from MIU MIU
bangles from WWW
necklace from WWW
earrings from H&M

ICE GRAY

I had just featured this furry coat recently in this blog but here is another take on how I wear it differently.  This look is more casual; more for a Sunday stroll rather than going to the office.  I tried to keep everything in the same color family and just had some varying shades instead.  The metallic bag became the shining point of the whole muted ensemble though.

WHAT I WORE:
faux fur gray coat from WAREHOUSE UK
gray turtleneck from ZARA
printed pants from H&M
metallic grayson bag from MICHAEL KORS
knee high boots from ALDO
eyewear from MIU MIU

MEETING READY

Being a landscape architect, I usually go to client meetings to present my design ideas for projects that I am in charge of.  Today is one of those days when I have to dress up more in a business manner.  This furry gray coat never fails to empower me; you know, that unexplainable thing when your clothes affect the way you act and carry yourself the whole day.  Well, this is that "thing" for me.  I love the softness of it and the belted waist.  My inner outfit is more simple so as to complement the statement outer wear.  As I have mentioned in my older posts, I usually keep my work wear simple and then I throw in a statement piece for interest and pizzazz.

WHAT I WORE:
gray faux fur coat from WAREHOUSE
colorblock turtleneck top from SASHA TENORIO
black plants feom ZARA
Wedged heels booties from H&M
eyewear from MIU MIU
trapeze bag from CELINE
